Some people see a problem and immediately rise to the occasion. Jim Estill is one of those people. When in 2015 Jim learned about the struggles facing those in war-ravaged Syria, he refused to wait for government to step in, putting his money, skills and connections to good use. As of today, the president and CEO of Danby Appliances has sponsored over 400 Syrian refugees in his hometown of Guelph, Ontario, providing some with skills training and jobs too.
More recently, Jim made COVID-19 his focus when he added life-saving ventilators to the Danby product line. With the mantra Do the Right Thing his inspiration and giving back his guide, Jim’s leadership is certainly one to watch and to follow.
